Gameloft has just released a trailer to promote their upcoming title Six-Guns and, boy, does it look familiar.

As the name suggests, Six-Guns is a Western-themed shooter that bears more than a passing resemblance to Rockstar’s console hit Red Dead Redemption. Looking like a story led sandbox title, Six-Guns is set to be full of horse racing and saloon shootouts with plenty to explore. There’s even a supernatural element by the looks of the trailer depicting ghouls, zombies and other monsters getting in on the act. Looks like players won’t have to just keep an eye out for bandits in the Wild West.

Western games haven’t been very prominant on the App Store yet so it’ll be interesting to see how this one pans out. Considering Gameloft’s previous history with homages to other titles, I reckon this one could be pretty fun.

Other than a vague release date of this Fall, no other details have yet been announced by Gameloft but we’ll be sure to let you know as soon as we get them.
