Put up your dukes! The folks over at Vivid Games are proud to announce the newest update to their 2012 Editor's Choice garnering boxing simulator, Real Boxing.
The appropriately titled, "Combo Update," adds a whole new brawling mechanic to the player's arsenal. Successfully landing six consecutive punches from alternating sides will unlock a stamina boost that allows for up to three additional strikes. This should hopefully help simulate the adrenaline boost that a fighter would get when pummeling an opponent into submission.
Real Boxing usually costs $0.99, but it is currently on sale in the App Store for free. So be sure to not miss out on this limited time offer.
Real Boxing gets a new enhanced multiplayer mode that brings realtime multiplayer to the ring, providing gamers with the ability to fight friends online through Game Center. There is also a new betting system that players can use to wager in-game currency on the outcome of their own fight. This allows players to earn more coins and unlock items and upgrades.
Real Boxing is also 80% off for a limited time only, making it available for $0.99!
A new arena has been added in an update for Real Boxing. Players are now able to enjoy the scenic location of the Colosseum in Rome which is available through in-app purchase for $0.99 cents. The new arena is available to play in single player mode or by challenging friends through Game Center.
Another more photo-realistic iOS game using the Unreal Engine, Real Boxing from Vivid Games, should be out for iOS near the end of this year.
Real Boxing’s action will take place over four unique settings - three indoor and one outdoor - all based on real world locations. Players can also opt to personalise their boxer’s appearance, and choose from dozens of possible combinations, including skin colour, tattoos, shorts, shoes and boxing gloves. Once they have selected their character, players can then train their boxer and build him up to take on greater challenges in career mode. In so doing, they can also unlock extras, such as new equipment, opponents and clothing.
