New to the App Store is Pinch, a dating app that hopes to make finding your perfect match more fun and that bit easier than it was before.
By using your Facebook friends, it enables you to browse friends of your friends before ‘pinching’ them to get in touch, all with the blessing of your mutual friend. The fun part comes from being able to ask a series of ‘and/or’ questions to get the idea of what kind of things that person enjoys most. It’s simple but potentially quite fun.
Pinch is out now on the App Store and it’s a free download.
Coatsink demoed a pair of their upcoming games at the UK Interactive Entertainment booth at GDC: one coming to mobile now, another more likely for the future. Chip is a puzzle game where players must redirect electricity in order to succeed. Expect this one on iOS and Android relatively soon.
As well, they demoed Shu, a floaty platformer where players must outrun the end of the world by controlling a variety of characters floating and using their various abilities throughout a wide array of worlds. A PC/console release is planned for this with mobile down the road. As well, Superglad, an adventure game based on characters first seen in Fatty, was demoed and likely coming to mobile at some point in the future.
Carter speaks to Tom Beardsmore of Coatsink Games about Pinch 2 HD, and how the game has changed in going from being a primarily iPhone/iPod touch game to being for the iPad.
Carter speaks to Raphael Weiner of Scoreloop about social gaming across multiple platforms and on Android, including ones that have official services like iOS’ Game Center and Windows Phone 7’s Xbox Live support.
Organizer is useful for writing your daily plans, jotting down your ideas and for an advanced memo tool. The options in this application for making notes are impressive, but lack of calendar integration lets it down.
