Heard of The Overtones? It’s near impossible to escape them here in the UK with their talented vocal harmonies featuring across the airwaves and TV stations. Now it seems they’ve spread their influence to the App Store with an official app rather originally titled The Overtones.
Based around their recent hit Gambling Man, the app features six games which all offer an Overtones-themed take on classic favorites with the aim to gain as much virtual cash as possible by placing stakes across each game.
There’s Duplet in which players must uncover sections of a photo and try to find matches of The Overtones clothing accessories, Darren’s Lucky Slots: a typical slot machine with an Overtones twist, rearranging game Timmy’s Tiles, Mike’s Treasure Wheel (a mixture of roulette and trivia), Mark’s Crazy Maze and Lachie’s Royal Derby with its simulated horse race.
Plus fans can enjoy two exclusive new tracks from the band and other content such as video interviews and high quality photos.
Looks like a neat mixture of gaming and fan service to me. Not bad at all for the $1.99 asking price.

Singer Adele’s career has gone from strength to strength in the past few years. Critical and commercial success has meant that she’s a huge hit in the US as well as her home country of the UK. Her awards are countless with millions of copies of her two albums selling in this time. Not bad for someone who’s only 23!
