+ Universal App - Designed for iPhone and iPad

Doggins, the adventure game from husband and wife team Brain&Brain that stars a terrier and a villainous monocled squirrel, was previously only available for iPad users.

That’ll change this Thursday however, with the app set to let iPhone users play when it becomes Universal. Alongside letting those with smaller devices play, the app will also get some minor fixes, a new icon, and a slightly refined final puzzle.

Doggins will become universal this Thursday, but is already available on the App Store for the iPad for $3.99.

Dog IQ: Intelligence Tests For Dogs

Dogs are great. Cuddly, sweet, faithful and never judgemental. How intelligent are they though? Dog fans may now be able to figure out this very important question thanks to a new app by the name of Dog IQ.

According to the app, dogs have different kinds of intelligence just like humans do. These types are: problem solving ability, social intelligence, awareness, sense and the ability to learn and adapt. Dog IQ helps determine how mentally adept the user’s dog is by providing a well rounded overview of all of these types.

Each test offered by the app consists of 11 simple and fun questions testing the above abilities. Taken from a pool of 30 questions, there’s enough room for trying the test numerous times. Indeed it’s encouraged with a history page allowing users to monitor their dog’s performance over time.

Dog IQ looks to be a fun entertainment app to finally see if dogs really are smart or not. It’s out now priced at $0.99.

Everyone knows a crazy dog person.  You know, that nutbag that instead of showing of pictures of their wife or kids, they whip out a rolodex containing pictures of  their precious Fido.  Chances are, if you don’t have that friend, re-evaluate your life, because it could very well be you.  Here is the sad part:  I KNOW I am that person!

If you are like me and just can’t get enough of your dogs, how much of a stretch would it be to imagine yourself as a dog?  As far-fetched and even odd as it may seem, some would even go as far as to replace their own face in pictures with that of a dog.  Don’t believe me?  Check out the new app, Dog Yourself Photo Booth.  This free tool will allow you to not only take standard photos on your phone, but swap out your mug with a canine mug of your choice.

Give it a look – Lassie would be proud.
