Abvio updated their Cyclemeter app to work with RFLKT, an iPhone powered cycling computer. Cyclemeter sends data from your iPhone to the RFLKT device and allows cyclists to instantly view a selection of up to 148 different statistical options, all in real time. RFLKT support for Cyclemeter is available for $2.99 as an in-app purchase and the device can be purchased on the Abvio website.

“Cyclemeter and RFLKT are great together,” said Steve Kusmer, CEO of Abvio. “We built Cyclemeter to provide an immense amount of data to cyclists, and a game-changing device like RFLKT makes this data readily accessible during rides.”

Major Updates Coming to Abvio's Runmeter, Cyclemeter and Walkmeter

Posted by Greg Dawson on January 30th, 2012

Abvio, an iPhone fitness app developer, demonstrated its version 7.0 update for Runmeter, Cyclemeter and Walkmeter last week in San Francisco at Macworld 2012. The new update overhauls the stopwatch display to be completely configurable to display data from more than 150 different data items, from total mileage to average heart rate for the previous split. Users will be able to customize and swipe through additional pages of information, including stats, graphs, maps, a music player, and more.

The update also adds a new history navigation feature that provides detailed reports. In addition, all workout information is saved directly to the device so users do not have to navigate to a sister website. The company also demonstrated new app support for the Wahoo Fitness Blue HR Heart Rate Strap (for iPhone 4S) in the Mobile Apps Showcase making it the first to adopt the technology.

Abvio Offers iPhone Centric Workout Apps

Posted by Jason Wadsworth on January 20th, 2012

App developer, Abvio, has a robust offering of workout apps tailored specifically for the iPhone user. These apps, including Runmeter, Cyclemeter and Walkmeter which respectively track running, cycling, and walking workouts. Each of these apps track and store workout data on the iPhone itself so there is no need for users to connect to any online database to upload or download their data. This can save precious KB for the more data conscious users out there. Users can also post their workout activity to Facebook, Twitter, or dailymile.com and when friends reply to these posts, the apps will report those responses to the user in real time using text-to-speech technology. One voice is included free and other voices are available via in-app purchase for $0.99 each.

As an added bonus, Abvio has recently announced that their apps now support many of the Wahoo Fitness products. Using these monitoring device with their devices, users can track detailed stats on their heart rate and calories burned during their workouts.

Our rating: starstarstarstarhalfstar :: GOOD RUN
Runmeter is like Rocky to Nike's Ivan Drago. It won't oversex you with slick interfaces and pro voice actors, but it'll certainly track your run with the best of 'em.
