This game is a puzzle platformer that is not for the weak. You are a fireman who has the task of rescuing every person (Darwin) from that level in order to succeed. If you’re a seasoned puzzler, then give it a try, if you’re new to this style then I would try others first.

A combination of fantastic graphics and multi-layered complex gameplay make Sentinel 2 the best tower defense game on the App Store. Be warned – it may be tough to go back to seemingly simple TD games after experiencing what Sentinel 2 has to offer.

TowerMadness boasts a lot of features and 3D graphics, but does nothing to distinguish itself. Graphics are surprisingly rough, and ultimately the game is fun but forgettable.

AC-130 Spectre is a fun aerial sniping game, but it may test your patience in certain tedious spots. This, coupled with limited playtime and spotty controls push this game down to a mediocre level.

Isotope probably has more content than any other shooter and is one of the most addicting iPhone games that I’ve ever played.

Buka is a game with a slightly different twist. It’s not the most action-packed iPhone game filled with swashbuckling adventure, but it is entertaining and easy to pick up and put down. It’s a surprisingly nice piece of art too.

Read It Later is a bookmarking alternative intended for articles that you just want to flag for later reading. This app, however, also stores pages for offline reading, and it’s quite the useful utility!

iBomber stands above the crowd with its great interface, ease of use, challenging levels, and inspiring soundtrack.

MyWebClip is a well executed way to manage web app bookmarks. The developer has a strong understanding of designing on the iPhone so that you would think it is a native app. Apple should incorporate some of its features into the iPhone’s OS.

RSS Flash g is an RSS reader that syncs with Google’s Reader RSS aggregator. This is a middle-of-the-road RSS utility. It does a great thing syncing with Reader, which any Reader fan will love, but some may find the interface wanting.

Music app that emulates the sounds of 1970s Mellotron made famous in recordings by the Beatles, King Crimson, Yes, Genesis, and The Moody Blues. Cool retro-sounding app with great attention to sonic detail that is unfortunately marred by a clicking sound when notes are released.

Here’s my advice on this one: If you want a shopping list, try out the free version… but it’s hard to even suggest that. For something to catalog your media (DVDs, Books, etc), do NOT waste money on this app.

Think of UpNext as a mash-up between a 3D version of Google Maps and Yelp, but it’s only for NYC. Darn! It also displays subway routes, lets you bookmark locations, and more. If you’re going to be in New York, this is definitely a utility worth looking at.

Physics + puzzle = iPhyzzle. This challenging game’s simplistic concept hides a devious interior, with gravity at its core. Nice visuals, added to gameplay value, complete the iPhyzzle armoury.

Underworlds is a Diablo clone through and through, all the way down to the final movie. I don’t mean that in a bad way though, because nothing makes me happier than a good dungeon romp.

Sky Burger is a new and improved version of Scoops—but in my opinion, that’s not saying much. The game isn’t difficult enough to be fun or challenging, and assembling burgers is more of a chore than a diversion.

Trackr might be the first app to let you remotely start torrent downloads, but that doesn’t mean it’s anywhere near decent. This RSS reader/torrent downloader mash-up fails in both categories.

The attempt at previews in realtime is truly impressive and the filters within Chimera are diverse. The interface could use some work and giving the user a choice on resolution would give casual shooters an option to sacrifice quality for speed. Some of the current limitations stem from the hardware it must employ. Still, this is definitely an application to watch as it reaches maturity.

Zen Magic is a relaxation app that introduces more questions than it clears up. Thankfully, its soundscapes ease the mind more efficiently than its water paper foreground.

Circuit Defenders is a disappointingly ordinary tower defense game, despite some nice features like in-depth upgrades. We recommend passing on this one.

The Tiffen Company has brought their digital photography filters to the iPhone as Photo FX. Even if you use Photoshop to edit pictures on your computer, Photo FX might be just the thing for a quick tweak on-the-go.

With it’s colourful (almost psychedelic) approach, Touch & Go! is a well designed title based on that ‘Match 3′ concept we all know and dearly love. Saying that, the way the game is presented does shake the genre up a little!
