TightWire is a challenging, tilt-based game with fantastic graphics that tasks you with guiding a “daredevil” across a tightrope strung between two buildings.

Zombies vs. Sheep is a one trick pony, but it’s a trick that’s really fun for a buck, and will keep you coming back for more. You’re a gun wielding sheep shooting zombies. Tell me you’re not interested.

This is a pick up and play that you won’t be able to put down. I liked it, then I liked it even more! The game starts fantastic and gets better the more you play it! Thanks Origin8!

Battery Go! is a mildly useful utility that determines your remaining battery life and translates it into time remaining for different activities. If it didn’t rely on Apple’s specs, it could actually be amazing; as it is, this one is a bit of a simplified app.

This is exciting, addictive, and has game play that could technically last forever!!! Be warned, your fingers will need rest and relaxation after defending all these castles! *phews*

Type Drawing is a fun app that brings a unique element to art on the iPhone. If you want to do something new and interesting with your iPhone drawings you’ll want this one in your arsenal.

Mystique held little mystery for me in it’s first incarnation. Needs smoother graphics and more gameplay. Not for me but you might like it if you enjoy ‘locked in a room’ style puzzles.

Sally’s Spa is a time management game that is fun, challenging, interesting and in addition to playing it I wanted to be in it! Mmmmm spa!

Impress is a painting app designed to let you turn your favorite pictures into paintings. Featuring zoom controls, brush, settings, and automatic color selection, with a little bit of patience and an eye for detail it allows you to make something not half bad.

Gridlocked is a good one for picking up and messing with for short periods of time. There’s no learning curve, no real brain aches, and a fantastic pause button for when things get crazy. But, I still wanted more.

Magnetic Joe 2 is a paid follow-up to its formerly free predecessor that provides a nice mix of arcade action and momentum-based puzzles. It’s fun, light-hearted fare that will please both fans and newcomers.

SmackBOTS is a fun game for kids. Nothing entertains me more than a game I can dive right into without having to worry about strategy and story lines. The animation is simple, yet amusing and the game play is challenging in spite of the deceptively easy controls.

This is far from the quality shooter experience that I received from Isotope, but any app selling for $0.99 is worth a try if you like the genre.

FaceFighter reminds me of early versions of Mortal Kombat. I had a lot of fun with that game, especially when friends and beer were involved. I never got great at it because of all the buttons, combos, and fatality moves were hard for me to remember (was it the beer?). Thankfully, FaceFighter solves all of these problems and has simple controls (4 buttons), simple rules (hit & don’t get hit), and fast gameplay.

Everyone loves their to do app. But did you ever wish you had a quicker option? Something right up front that takes almost no time at all to check, maybe something on your wallpaper? Stick It lets you create notes to place as your wallpaper.

Taxiball is a spin on the Labyrinth genre that has you speeding through narrow city avenues in order to deliver passengers to their destinations. It’s not a must-have, but its charm and personality make it a solid buy for fans of marble-rolling games.

If you don’t want to read the review, fine. I wouldn’t either… just don’t buy this game!

This is a cutely drawn game, and although it isn’t as addictive as other games out there, the uniqueness factor coupled with game music that you won’t be able to get enough of, make it a winner. The price really seals the deal folks!

iNap@Work is a funny, polished little gag app that might actually help you procrastinate. Cubicle workers, it’s time you caught up on that much-needed sleep.

A singularly-minded iPhone application that does one thing well, One Tap Dial is my life preserver in a sea of generic, boring and sometimes expensive speed dial applications.

Even if you’re not into politics this is an invaluable tool to be in the know with local, state, and federal political figures. It is a wealth of information neatly organized and continually updated. Moreover, the developer is excited about his products and has several ideas for this app and others like it.

Flight Control Lands A Huge Update

The once #1 paid application in the App Store just came out with it’s 1.2 update today and I have to applaud it in every way, this is what an update should be.

Firemint has added two more airfields to play on with a total of five new aircrafts with that go along with these levels. Both levels add a new spin on the game. The “beachside resort” contains the red plane, the larger red plane, and the helicopters from the previous level but with the addition of a yellow seaplane that lands in a water-runway. This level has two helicopter pads and throws a lot more helicopters at you, changes the game quite a bit.

Sparta is an unoriginal hack-and-slash with no variations to keep things interesting. The graphics are good, and promised updates might actually make it a good game. But for now, I’d advise caution unless you just want a mindless, boring experience.

I’ve played Fieldrunners, TapDefense, and a few other iPhone TDs as well as being an extremely experienced Warcraft 3 TD player. Listen to my TD advice, The Creeps! is a grade-A game.

Snakes on a 3D Plane. A beautiful but vapid diversion, which drags the old-skool cellphone game slithering and sliding into the 21st century.
