Suitably, the sequel to a fun Time Management game is an equally fun Time Management game.

Continuing with what worked so well for its predecessor, Youda Survivor 2 is an extremely enjoyable time management game, and one that casual gamers will lap up with enthusiasm.

As before, players must save a tribe and their island through completing many different tasks. This time round, there are over 100 different levels offering plenty of hours of fun, alongside a separate siege mode. Plenty of optional routes can be taken, adding to the variety, as well as the all important matter of completing a level quickly in order to gain a gold medal.

Reminiscent of running a smallholdings, much of the player's time will be spent collecting eggs or milk from birds or goats, before feeding them into another machine to produce things such as fried eggs, milk powder or cheese. It's a careful process of remembering what combines into which object, with a task bar dictating what needs to be collected in order to complete a level. Also, such objects can be used to create potions to give the player more energy. Something that's crucial as once the player runs out of energy or water, it's game over.

Youda Survivor 2 runs in real-time, meaning that players don't queue up actions, they control every step of the way. It could be awkwardly frustrating, given how much can go on at once. Enemies can emerge throughout the game, such as scorpions or pirates, adding to the possible chaos. In reality, though, it never feels too overwhelming. There's a lot to track but it all works out quite smoothly, once the player has got a pattern figured out.

Special rituals and upgrades also feature to add to the variety. Again, it sounds potentially overwhelming but a gradual tutorial keeps things straight-forward.

At times, it's a little too easy to accidentally tap on a machine to purchase, when one was aiming for a roaming animal instead, but otherwise, Youda Survivor 2 does everything well. With a plethora of content and an interesting set of game mechanics, Youda Survivor 2 is a fine addition to any casual gamer's collection and a very worthy sequel.
