Here’s a moral quandry and a half in one app: Word Finder for Scrabble, Word With Friends, etc lets its users find and check valid words for games like Scrabble or Words With Friends. With great power comes great responsibility springs to mind.
Regardless of any judgement upon those who would use it (heck, I’ve been using it!), Word Finder for Scrabble, Word With Friends, etc is exactly what anyone in need of help with such games could possibly need. There’s no frills to the app, it’s basic to look at yet covers all the bases. The user enters the letters that they have available to them, then an existing word that they may wish to attach to the letters.
A tap of ‘go’ then produces all the possible options for words. A standalone score is provided along with every word that can be used, then there are separate sections for how the existing word can be used and in what way. It’s fast and effective producing some ideal results. There’s even a definition section when connected to the internet for those who want to learn as they play.
A Check Word section is available to check if a word is valuable for the relevant game. On that note, Word Finder for Scrabble, Word With Friends, etc caters for Scrabble, both international and USA varieties, as well as Lexulous and Words With Friends.
That’s all there is to Word Finder for Scrabble, Word With Friends, etc but that’s all it needs. All of this can be done without the need for an internet connection. Ideal for sneaky checks while mid way through a Scrabble session with a Grandma (not that I’m condoning such cheating but hey, sometimes it’s fun). Priced at $1.99, it’s not quite a must buy like it would be at $0.99 but it is immensely useful for those who regularly play word games and want some help.
