Technology trivia has several styles of game play from endless, endurance, 100 questions and timeless. You can play alone, or against other players. It has a good range of questions to test all varieties and levels of knowledge within the technology category. Also has a high scores list for the competitive types (this list has the high scores from all their trivia applications and you can look at them all which is great).

This game tries hard to give you all you want in a trivia application. It offers you several different backgrounds so you can change the appearance of the game. Within the Single Player mode, you can play a variety of styles of games. There is endless, endurance, 100 questions and timeless. You can also pause and resume a game which is a great ‘must have’ feature. There is an icon in the lower right hand side so you can just quit the game and return to the main menu.

Additionally, if you did save a game, and then re-launch the application, when you select a new game it confirms you that there is one already saved, and would you like to launch that game. You can play a head to head mode so if a friend is near you, you can use your iPhones networking capability (through the multi user button).

A few points for improvement. The interface is not as nice as it could be. The functions and features to be a successful and entertaining game are all there, and the functionality is great, but I really want a sexy looking interface on it. I found that although the website says they have over 10,000 questions, I did get some repetition of questions quite early on in the game play. Also my experience of the multi player aspect was that I couldn’t find anyone else. This might be because it’s set to find people in your immediate vicinity, but maybe they could widen that and you just search who’s playing online. This would give it a great dimension, and perhaps you could challenge specific top player etc. Also might be interesting to have user submitted questions, so you could maybe download a game pack of users questions to enhance it.

Overall, having a trivia game that asks technology questions is really fun and this application definitely offers you a variety of game styles to play. I enjoyed playing it and it could also be used as an icebreaker type of activity in group situations. You will find yourself going back to this game whenever you have a spare moment.
