Color matching games are nothing new to the app store, but Gala Pocket’s creation, Supermagical, aims to breathe new life into the genre. Supermagical puts a focus on using spells, traveling to different locations, and using all of the player’s wits to clear levels in the name of banishing the Minix back to the underworld.

The game’s protagonist, Nina, has had her world invaded by a group of evil creatures called Minix. Players are invited along to aid Nina in banishing all of these creatures so that order can be restored to Nina’s world. Players do this by shooting Minixs at other Minixs of the same color in order to destroy them.

The in-game graphics are truly something to fall in love with. The attention to detail is second to none, the animations are fluid and very easy on the eyes all whilst complimenting the already endearing gameplay. The controls are also extremely simple to pick up. The game offers an easy to follow tutorial at the beginning of the game that clearly explains the already simple controls to players.

In Supermagical, every time that the player destroys a group of Minixs coins will begin to spawn around their former location. Tapping on these coins will add them to your balance, which players can than spend later on candy. These coins allow players to buy candy. Some players may find that the spells element of the game takes a bit of getting used to, but once they accustom themselves with the system of cooking the spells they’ll feel right at home.

Overall, Supermagical is an enjoyable game that is sure to occupy players for hours on end. The cute graphics, fun gameplay, and the allure of collecting coins will make it irresistible to many players.
