While Adventure Time may be known as the best reason for grown adults to watch Cartoon Network when it’s actually Cartoon Network and not Adult Swim, Regular Show has developed into a great guilty pleasure as well, a series about a couple of slackers working at a park that often encounter supernatural obstacles to barely getting the job done. Ride ’Em Rigby in particular is inspired by an episode where Rigby, a talking raccoon, must stay tethered to his mentor Muscle Man all day or get fired. This is an endless runner based on that premise.

Players can jump, double jump, and ride on the side of Muscle Man to go through pipes. There are glowing soda cans to collect that are worth increasing values of points, with the value getting reset if the player hits an obstacle. Along the way, power ups to clear obstacles can be collected, that manifest in some one-shot characters clearing the way, like a giant space baby, and a drag racer full of unicorns.

This is quite normal for the show, by the way.

The game boasts the standard endless mode to go along with a challenge mode, where racking up high scores to get 3 stars on each of the 20 levels is key. It's all fairly basic, what with only three actions to take to avoid three different types of obstacles, but thanks to the show references, which come through in the high-quality animation and art in the app, it winds up being more entertaining. Plus, a magic keyboard that shoots lasers is never not entertaining. The game gets very challenging as it speeds up to where the controls either feel less responsive, or to where it’s just a lot more difficult to time jumps and double jumps without hitting anything.

Ride ’Em Rigby is a game that doesn’t break any new ground, but it is good enough to satisfy the Regular Show fanbase that will check out the game because of the license. It’s solid yet inoffensive and that’s perfectly fine.
