Quick Discreet Text won't win any prizes for looks. It's extremely rudimentary in appearance. Within that basic exterior, however, is a tool that could come in handy for those who regularly text and have busy lives.
Loading quickly, the app is entirely about speed. It's a way of sending a friend or colleague a quick text message without having to take the time to type it out. Plenty of situations are catered for from casual ones to much more serious occurences. Texts for saying the user's at the cinema is in there but also a grumpy "I'm trying to sleep" style reply. In most cases it should only take a matter of a few seconds to shoot a text off to someone, whether they happen to be in a meeting or on a date and in need of being undisturbed.
What could be potentially life saving is the emergency button. Tap that button and a text can be sent to someone with latitude details and the explaination that they need help quickly. Hopefully it'll never be needed but it could be hugely important one day. For women in particular, they may feel that little bit safer in certain situations.
Quick Discreet Text is a little basic on the features front as there's no way of creating new text templates or set favorites for the recipient which could have saved more precious time. Quick Discreet Text is solely about using the replies that are provided which, at times, can be restrictive or inappropriate for the situation.
Ultimately, the usefulness of Quick Discreet Text will come down to how often the user texts. For regular texters, this could be a real timesaver, but for those who aren't in a rush, it's not really needed.
