Enter the prehistoric world of Paleolithics, and you'll find yourself playing as not one, not two, but three different players. Avoiding obstacles, and fighting dinosaurs in a game that's very reminiscent of Donkey Kong, Pacman or other classic arcade style games but with the added enjoyment of adventure storytelling and item collection and upgrades.

While simple in its gameplay, one might even say slow, this app manages to bring together several elements to make it more than just a side-scroller. You play as three characters at once. You'll need to avoid hazards or harmful creatures, and collect materials which cane be traded for up-gradable items and weapons. I do have to give credit to the designers for including a very easy to understand introduction tutorial.

Each level is increasingly difficult, but the exact same strategy. Other than taping the correct section of screen in order to avoid harm, there's literally nothing else you do. It's a shame they don't over you control over the movement of your characters at all, you're ever moving forward in sync with each other, and awaiting the arrival of your next challenge or reward on-screen. The levels are blissfully short, however, so you can quickly get back to 'town' to buy new items or equipment and add them to your characters for the next level.

I do want to give credit to the story line creators and the graphics designers on this one, because it's really well done in that respect. There really isn't a shortage of levels to play, and the constant reward system of upgrading and item purchasing did keep me coming back for more. Perhaps I am not best suited for this style of game-play as I usually enjoy a bit more interactivity with my adventure games, but I'm certain that others will definitely enjoy it. Being able to share your achievements over Twitter or Facebook is another social friendly move that I appreciate. It's a very well designed game, and it's at a very reasonable price point, I recommend that you give it a shot. Or, at least, check out the trailer below:
