News addicts such as myself love to have as many apps available as possible to keep up on the latest developments. So, how about an app that provides plenty of different news stories in an easy to read interface? That's precisely what Newser Tablet does.
Newser Tablet covers all the most popular sources such as CNN, the New York Times, USA Today and the BBC as well as some smaller sites such as BNO News, thus ensuring that a wide spectrum of different stories are on offer. It makes for a great way of glancing at varied perspectives quickly yet comprehensively.
12 different categories are available: Arts & Living, Business, Crime & Courts, Glossies, Gossip, Media, Opinion, Politics, Science & Health, Tech, US News and World News, providing something for everyone. The Newser editors do their magic on the articles, turning content into two paragraphs or less of interesting content, ideal for a quick read throughout the day. Source attribution means users are only a tap away from seeing the full story as it was before the editing process if they so wish.
Real-time access means that everything is relevant and up to date so it's a great way to check in on what's going on, regardless of how much free time is available in the day. Navigation is as simple with a swipe here or there doing everything that anyone could expect within an iPad app. It's all very smooth and satisfactory.
In my time using Newser Tablet, I found myself discovering news stories that I wouldn't have found through conventional browsing through my RSS Reader. Even better, it was much faster to look, making the whole experience much more enjoyable. While I'll still be keeping to a few official apps for the full story, I'll be keeping Newser Tablet near for any time that I just want a brief yet informative snapshot of what's going on in a wide range of different fields.
