A plentiful list of in-app purchases might seem off-putting when glancing at Moldiv, but don't be put off. The free version of Moldiv offers plenty of interesting features to sink one's teeth in, before even considering spending some money.
Making it possible to create many, many different collages, the app is ideal for those trying to make a group of photos look a little more exciting. Bundled in for free, there's the choice of 80 different fixed collages, a free-hand collage mode and the ability to stitch images together for a different kind of look. In each case, it's easy to add photos as well as edit them midway through. Besides simple manipulation features, Moldiv also offers plenty of image filters to adjust how an image looks as it is fitted into a collage.
Those collages are suitably varied too. While some are quite straight-forward, many others are quite wacky and make it possible to add up to 9 small images, in a variety of different places. Text can be added once a collage has been completed, with plenty of choice for text sizes and fonts.
Such variety is key to Moldiv's success, given that it's possible to make thousands of different combinations of collage, ensuring that every single creation feels unique. Smaller effects such as shadow application or the addition of speech bubbles might not be used as frequently as some features, but the variety means Moldiv covers a number of different individual apps and their purposes.
Finishing up with plenty of export options, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Flickr, Moldiv is a well rounded app. The only significant wish here is that the in-app purchases were better priced. At $0.99 or $1.99 each for extra packages, it'd be nice if it was possible to buy everything for one flat fee. Otherwise, things could turn pretty pricey. Fortunately, most users will be more than happy with the freely available tools.
