INOQONI is a magical kind of game. In fact, if there is any game that should have been played this festive season it would definitely make the top five. Those who really love a good puzzle-platformer, read on.
Released earlier this month, INOQONI is the name of a little girl whose curiosity gets the better of her. Away from her mother and all things familiar, she finds herself in a tower in the middle of a forest - and worse still, there seems to be no easy way out.
There are around 60 single screen mind-bending puzzles to solve in INOQONI, and a lot of them require a large amount of hard thought. It’s not a forgiving game; from the outset INOQONI throws the player in the deep end, leaving them to figure out the next move with no manner of hints or clues.
Mechanically driven by the ability to mirror a level by simply tapping a button, players must utilize this interesting technique in order to get little INOQONI safely to the exit. It’s a fun element, and certainly makes for some magically entertaining moments and interesting states of play.
As easy as it sounds, this incredibly challenging game manages to pick up the difficulty every step of the way; requiring INOQONI to acquire keys, dodge armored knights, avoid spike pits, and chase butterflies. Yes, butterflies, which are the ultimate key to unlocking further levels.
Everything is so perfectly done in this bewitchingly beautiful game; the music, the atmosphere, and the wonderful graphics. INOQONI does a remarkable job of taking the player on the most captivating journey possible, sharing every magical moment with them to the highest degree.
Fans of puzzle-platforming games will fall deeply love INOQONI with its exciting mechanics and ambitious attitude. It is certainly a game that needs to be experienced to truly experience its magic, and for such a nominal price it would be a travesty not to take advantage.
