All too often, the simplest apps are pure genius. iNap@Work might just be one of them. Yes, you read the title right. This is an app for helping you to nap at work—assuming that you work in an office cubicle, anyway. By mimicking common office noises, it helps you catch a few winks undetected. Just watch out if the boss walks by; we're not responsible!

If your workplace is staffed by lazy managers, you might just be able to get away with this. When you start up iNap@Work, you pick from a few standard sounds: typing, clicking, coughing, stapling, rustling papers...you get the idea. There are five categories of sounds; each one gets its own frequency slider, and there's also an overall frequency slider. Tap the "Nap" button, and you're set; the app starts playing the sounds, fooling your boss into thinking that you're actually working on that spreadsheet or typing that memo like a good little robo-slave. There's even an alarm included so that you can stop your catnap before suspicions arise.

Naturally, this won't fool any decent manager for too long, but it might help you catch a quick catnap or two. And if your officemates have any sense of humor whatsoever, you can show it off for a few laughs; this is exactly the sort of novelty app that's better shared than used. Enjoy—just remember that if you actually do get fired for sleeping on the job, it'll cost you more than the app's paltry $0.99 price.
