Bottom Line: a nice, affordable pair of Bluetooth stereo over-the-ear headphones. Great battery life and sound; the looks are the only thing that could be improved. Highly Recommended.
I must admit I was rather surprised with the Coda Forte Bluetooth headphones. For the $99.99 price, I wasn’t expecting them to be very good at all, I was pleasantly surprised. Great sound, an amazing battery life of 12 hours, and built well. They are a great option.
The Coda Forte headphones connect to an iOS device like any other Bluetooth audio device. Pairing is quick and easy. As a bonus, and I wish more audio devices did this, the headphones re-connect automatically to the last device they were paired with when they are turned on.
The controls on the side of the headphones allow volume and track skipping. There is also an integrated microphone to allow easy use during phone calls. Tapping up and down will navigate tracks, while holding up or down raises and lowers the volume. There is no way to trigger Siri that I have found, though.
There are some minor downsides, however. The black matte finish of the headphones I was sent are a magnet for smudges and fingerprints. They’re are also rather large and don’t collapse at all. I can’t complain too much considering the price point, but a smaller option or the ability to fold up smaller would be good.
Overall, the Coda Forte headphones are a great deal for their price. Especially so considering they are over-the-ear and Bluetooth. They are a bit too large to carry with me, but will be great to use around the house at times when wires can get in the way.
