If they can manage to find 3 other players to enter a brawl with, players will have a great time with Fright Fight. Even despite the lack of content.

Fright Fight is a new multiplayer brawler hoping to become the Super Smash Bros. of iOS, starring a group of lovable monsters from a werewolf to the Grim Reaper.

After choosing their favorite monster, players can take the fight online with up to a maximum of 4 players competing at one time (if they're lucky); each trying to accumulate the most points before the timer runs out. To do this, they need to either deplete their opponents' health bar or knock them out of the arena. While the amount of attacks are limited, the frenzy that ensues as 4 players all bounce around the floating platforms attacking each other is a lot of fun.

Despite some minor lagging issues, gameplay is frantic and fast, with rapid respawns ensuring that players can carry out their revenge in no time. While the left side of the screen is reserved for moving back and forth, swiping and tapping on the right side controls the dash, quick, heavy, and super attacks, as well as the jumping function. It's simplistic but works very well.

There is an offline mode coming soon, though for the sake of replay value it would have nice to have seen that feature included from release. One feature I do have to take issue with however is the purchasing of the other characters. Though it's a free app, and a good one at that, multiple characters should be available from the get-go; or at least available for a lower amount of in-game currency than they currently are. Having to use the same character again and again is only going to turn players off.

Fright Fight's real appeal lies online with friends (or enemies), and in that regard it's a blast. With the addition of a few more stages and several more characters, Fright Fight would be a contender for one of the best beat-em-ups on iOS.
