It’s a good idea to try to get a regular workout in, even if time is at a premium. Fitonaut Workouts Pro acknowledges this by offering a selection of different workouts aimed at different abilities, and each requiring a relatively short amount of time to complete them. Sure, it’s not quite a revolutionary app, with quite typical exercises, but its interface proves suitably appealing for users.

55 workouts are available in all, divided up according to type, length and difficulty. Regardless of ability, there’s generally a fair amount of choice for a different kind of workout. Even better, most of the workouts don’t require any additional equipment, ensuring that anyone can partake in them.

Once a workout has been chosen, users are offered a brief intro on how the routine will help them, an indication of length, difficulty and how many times they should complete the workout. Each exercise is then laid out, concisely, offering a text based explanation of what to do as well as clear pictures of many of the stages involved. There aren’t any videos to be viewed here, but, for the most part, exercises are simple enough to figure out without one. Hit Start Training and the app takes users through each exercise, as well as offers them a brief break between the move.

Once an activity has been completed, the workout is then added to the recent workout list. Unfortunately, though, there’s no way of tracking the number of specific exercises completed, or any further breakdown according to day or week. Something that many in need of further motivation would appreciate it.

Despite that, though, Fitonaut Workouts Pro offers a suitably clean and attractive interface that ensures one always feels like it’s possible to complete a workout. I’m far from fit yet I felt quite inspired by the app, purely because everything was laid out in bite sized chunks. Being reminded that it’s possible to exercise, no matter how little time is going spare in the day, is appreciated. It might not revolutionize the fitness industry but Fitonaut Workouts Pro is a solid and dependable entry for anyone looking for more ideas.
