Going to interviews is a scary business. It doesn’t matter how many you go to, it’s still unnerving knowing that you’re going to be judged almost solely on what you say and do in the next hour or so. Unfortunately for many, just the stress and pressure involved can mean that you utterly screw up all because you panic and say the wrong things. Entoview Career Edition aims to help counteract that by providing you with a compendium of tips, tricks and general things you should remember before undertaking an interview.

The app first of all tells you exactly how to prepare for the interview. Tips like how to dress appropriately depending on the job role, how you should always research the company and position beforehand and how you should always stick to the question. They’re all simple enough things to consider but they’re very easy to forget when the stress is getting to you.

A Cardinal Rules section expands upon this by explaining why you should avoid being late for an interview, how you need to avoid hyperbole when answering questions and to never lie.

Finally a Practice Interview section enables you to choose from various answers to typical interview scenario questions. Once you complete this section, you’re then rated on your performance and the app suggests a few ways of improving for next time. There are 50 practice questions in all so there’s plenty to work on. When written down it’s amazing how silly some answers might look yet you know you could easily fall into the trap of saying something similar.

Entoview Career Edition is a pretty useful app indeed and although a little pricey for a reference tool, it could well pay dividends if it secures you that all important job. A few minor gripes such as slightly unresponsive controls and having to scroll a bit too much to read the practice questions aside, Entoview Career Edition is well worth a purchase if you’re in need of some last minute advice before a big opportunity comes your way.
