Start by browsing the gallery for inspiration. You can simply look from egg to egg, or check for a few examples under each of the twenty categories. Some of the options you'll find are stencils, glittering, wax resist and many more. Each theme offers a step-by-step guide, and most have additional photos to guide you through. For the slightly trickier ones (like Marbleizing or Stencilling) there are handy video tutorials included in the guide.
Besides the decoration tips you'll also find the Egg Basics section to be full of fantastic information about everything you'll need to start your egg dyeing adventure. A video and information about blowing-out your egg, so that you can keep it for years. There is also a recipe guide for dyes, offering different colour intensities. Being that I find simple one-color dying to be difficult, I'm glad they included this tutorial and details for the many of us who don't do this on an annual basis.
You can save the egg designs you like best from the gallery to your favorites as a quick reference to it's how-to page, and find more information about the tools and supplies you might need within the "Sources" section. I personally enjoy this feature, and find it a lot less intrusive than in-app ads, the info is there if you need it.
Thinking about this as either a small booklet, or even magazine article, the information contained is well worth the mere $0.99 that they're offering. Martha Stewart does it again, and offers a genuinely useful and fun craft app for the season!
