The Dodocase Folio for iPad mini is, like everything else I've ever seen from Dodocase, is very well made. Using old world book binding techniques and combining them with new world electronic devices is their main focus. That old world quality really shines here.

Made of leather, hardback book covers, and a tiny bit of plastic, the workmanship is impeccable in this case. One difference from most iPad and iPad mini cases is this one opens from the left side - leaving the iPad mini on the left and a space for a notebook on the right.

Also included in the right hand side is a fairly large slot for notes, receipts, etc. and a double slot for business cards. The included notebook slides into a special slot in the top of the right hand side. In the center leather binding area of the case that holds the two halves together, there is a generous sleeve for pen (or even stylus) storage.

When closed, the folio looks quite striking and feels really solid and comfortable in the hand.

For someone who needs to carry a notebook and other notes with them, and likes to keep things organized, this case is highly recommended. The downside is that it does increase the bulk of the iPad mini; something that some users may not be happy with.
