Update 8/1/2008: Igloo Games has released a demo version of Dizzy Bee called Dizzy Bee Free.  You can grab this 4 level demo at the iTunes App Store.

Igloo Games has released one of the first truly inventive and interesting games on the iPhone OS. Showing that they have mastered the built in accelerometer, the game controls are done in an inventive and easy to control way. The storyline is that you are a rolling bee gathering flowers and fruits frozen in blocks in a maze while avoiding bad bugs. Easy to pick up and learn and with many levels to master.

Reminiscent of Loco Roco on the PSP this game takes a simpler single screen canvas approach that simplifies and makes it easier to play with the accelerometer as as controller.  The levels progress nicely with added enemy types and obstacles (wind mills, bumpers, one way fans, and many more) along the way.

This game holds an amazing amount of fine tuning in both the game mechanics and design for a game priced at $2.99. Top notch quality at a great price.

Here’s a great introductory video that gives you a good idea of the game play.

At $2.99, this game is currently the best deal for a quality game in the App Store. Hurry and grab it now, before the developer realizes this! It has just about everything you could want in a simple, fun, casual game.
