Corpse Granny is no corpse at all. In fact, I'd say she's more alive than most grannies - one that nobody wants to mess with. She may be old, but she is highly aggressive and comes packed with attitude (and a horde of minions). Think of those cranky grannies in the grocery store zooming around on the cart with their foot on the gas and hankering for some Metamucil. Just plain scary.
And while we might be out of the Halloween ghouls and ghost holiday, zombies are always welcomed in the gaming world and that's why I love this game. Of course Corpse Granny goes hand-in-hand with zombies as in zombies always seem to be old so they're bound to be someone's grandparents. Beyond the similarities of the two, the game is a very unique physics-based puzzler and offers 45 levels of pure entertaining addiction along with three worlds, tons of zombies to obliterate and a few very difficult overlords to overcome. One very cool feature is that if the gamer doesn’t like the gameplay, they can use the level editor to eradicate the undead in their own custom zombie-filled world.
The goal of the game is not complicated in that it's simply to solve the puzzle in the least amount of time. However, solving the puzzle becomes quite challenging as the levels progress just like any game worth downloading from the app store.
As for weapons to help expedite solving the puzzle, I must say having an arsenal of fireballs (red, blue, green and purple, each one with a different power), explosive boxes, bombs, giant rocks, cannonballs and more is very useful as this game needs a lot of work to complete its puzzles. And having these devastating powers at the touch of my finger gave me a ghoulishly evil smile when I unleashed the havoc on granny and her evil minions, which inevitably helped me progress within the game.
Based on its unique physics-based puzzle gameplay along with its interesting combination of weapons, I'd say Corpse Granny is a must download and will surprise even the youngest of players.
