Gamers who are looking for a fast-paced and addicting game that will consume their soul will be delighted to know that Bobbing is the perfect title to do just that. I had a hard time putting this game down long enough to take notes and write a review, but I am ecstatic to be able to share it with others.

Don’t be fooled by Bobbing’s short levels. There are actually well over 140 levels to complete, but they get even more challenging as players progress. I recommend starting out with the 45 easier levels before moving up to the 100 increasingly difficult ones just to get a feel for the game.

Playing Bobbing is simple. The creature runs quickly on its own through cylindrical rotating levels, and players tap on the left side of the screen to rotate gravity so that the little fellow is either running upside-down or right-side up. It’s essential to rotate gravity to avoid the fiery pits or the level starts all over.

The objective is to reach the goal and collect all the gems in each level. It’s not necessary to collect all the gems to advance, but gamers will want to go back and replay levels to get them all in order to truly beat the levels.

In addition to avoiding fiery pits, it’s necessary to change the color of the main character between blue and pink by tapping on the right side of the screen. The color needs to be changed in order to make it through color shield barriers. Neglecting to change the color quick enough can have a negative impact on the overall score and even result in death.

As if it couldn’t get any more challenging, there are other barriers to watch out for, like portals, barricades that alter direction and ones that even change the gravity. Since things are happening so quickly, it’s vital to either try to make split-second decisions or use trial and error to make it through each level.

The game’s design is just off the charts. I was highly impressed with how well it plays and how great everything looks. The techno style music pairs well with the gameplay. The only improvement that I can recommend is to add Game Center achievements or objectives to add more replay value. With additional updates planned for the future like an endless mode and hardcore levels, I can’t wait to see what else the developers have in store.

Bobbing is a quirky yet adorable precision platformer that is too awesome to not check out, and should be added to everyone’s collection. It really is that great. There's a free version for those who still aren't convinced.
