Balance HD is a well made 3D labyrinth game, but that doesn't mean it's for everyone. It's a game that requires careful manipulation of one's iOS device, as well as a healthy dose of patience. It's also probably not the most ideal of games to play while on a daily commute.

Offering over 100 levels of labyrinth fun, the game is all about taking one or more balls to the end of the level. The number of balls involved as well as the placement of the finish area changes depending on the level. Perhaps most importantly, just because one ball is in the end zone doesn't mean that it won't move at the same time as the others. While there is a certain amount of tension attached to the ball on the finish spot, restricting it a little, tilting quickly will still dislodge it.

That's where much of the patience aspect behind Balance HD comes into effect. A mixture of precise movements, patience, and good timing means there's plenty to focus on here. Fortunately there's plenty to tempt one into carrying on playing. Besides there being a ton of different stages, each weighing in at a different difficulty level, there are global and national leaderboards rewarding those who beat their country's or the world's best time. It's also possible to share video replays of such accomplishments, meaning one can watch to see how the masters have achieved such feats. A progress bar adds more to the plethora of statistics that can be gleaned here.

It's those little things that really help to add to the competitive element of Balance HD. More than just a regular tilting maze game, it'll entice one in for more sessions, purely to shave a split second off a good time. The promise of daily levels coming soon should only further enhance the reasons why it's worth sticking with.
