Evaluating a social networking focused app is tricky. Much like an MMORPG it's tough not to judge things on the community it offers, as well as how the app actually works. Voyzee has promise but, admittedly, the community is a little on the quiet side.
The app is a way in which users can create and share videos or slideshows with their friends and family. Immediately, it's ideal for sharing family occasions and holiday snaps. It's simple to use too, with the process mostly just involving which images one wants to import from the camera roll, or opting to capture such footage directly. Up to 30 images or videos can be imported, offering plenty of flexibility.
Further functionality comes from the option to apply filters, add captions and descriptions, and remove the background audio of a video. Soundtracks can be added, courtesy of the built-in library, as well as the user's music collection.
Standing out from the regular features is the narration mode, allowing users to add their own voice to all or just part of the video/slideshow. Again, it's pretty simple to set up. All the usual sharing options are available, ensuring that content isn't restricted to just within Voyzee. Privacy options remain quite tight too, aiding the security conscious.
The only noticeable problem of sorts for Voyzee is that its community is pretty quiet. Needing some time to build momentum, it's a double-edged sword. It's the ideal time to encourage others to join up as spam is non-existent here, but it does mean that partaking in viewing other people's content isn't going to be as commonplace as with other apps of this ilk. Still, there's a good base here and being able to view things via the website will certainly boost the likelihood of many people using Voyzee to share their content.
