The App Store isn't what it used to be back in 2012, so it's not unexpected to see some games changing their structures with the times. Now we can add Rage of Bahamut to that list with the recent announcement that the game is severely cutting back on the number of events it holds.
TRANSFORMERS: Age of Extinction, by Mobage Inc., has received its the first major update. The popular game now includes Stinger, a new challenging boss, the epic assault feature, and the ability to use Energon Shards to upgrade your character.
Mobage has also added levels from the film including Hong Kong and Lockdown’s Ship, and introduces Special Events to the game. The first of these special events is the Hunted Survival Missions, where players take on waves of enemies in an attempt to survive as long as possible. This special event is only available until Wednesday, September 17, and players can earn big in-game rewards for a high ranking on the leader boards.
You can download TRANSFORMERS: Age of Extinction for free on the App Store.
The Collectables, the cheeky yet realistic fruit of a collaboration between Crytek and DeNA, is live on the App Store.
In this hybridized third-person romp, players get to work as a group of upgradeable mercenaries while fighting against a ruthless enemy. The game sports rich graphics, a card system tactical combat, jungle scenery, and plenty of explosions.
“Crytek managed to do the unthinkable and integrate their remarkable CRYENGINE technology into the company’s first free-to-play mobile game,” said Barry Dorf, head of strategic partnerships at DeNA. “The Collectables is a visually stunning and explosive gameplay experience that pushes the boundaries of what can be achieved on mobile devices.”
The Collectables is available for free (with option in-app purchases) on the App Store.
It may lack the depth of other iOS shooters, but LAWLESS packs in enough killer visuals and mindless explosive action to make it an exciting ride nevertheless.
Dungeons & Dragons: Arena of War puts players in a small area full of explosives where they'll battle it out against different types of monsters and bosses. Well, if they have enough energy.

NFL Matchups is a new card collection game from Mobage, allowing fans to build teams by collecting their favorite football players. The app features all 32 NFL teams, more than 1,000 NFL players to draft, and has fantasy-integrated player stats that get updated every week based on their performance. It also has realistic modes for users to play, which gives them the ability to select their favorite players, pick their formation, and adjust things at halftime when needed.
So. Cards, football, and fantasy football? I think fans should give this free app a look!

Transformers Legends gets a new "September to Remember" campaign that features an Optimus Prime vs Megatron episode, or EPICsode! Can I be any more of a geek? [Editor's Note: No. No you cannot.]
Anyway, DeNA will be launching a series of weekly episodes and new content that includes player vs player match-ups for Transformers Legends. The current episode, One Shall Fall, features Optimus Prime for the first time in a Transformers Legends episode. This is also the first time that Optimus Prime is a rarity 5 card, which is ultra rare. Oh, yeah!
The Drowning fires in a new update that adds leaderboards, a 180 turn and sticky aiming button to the v-stick system, sensitivity for looking around, and a cutscene viewer.
The update also added some improvements as well. If you were drowning before by continuously being flanked by enemies from behind then things shouldn't be as troublesome anymore as the update fixed that, making enemies more likely to come at you from the front. However, there still might be some pretty stubborn bad guys out there because they did add that 180 turn button in the update, as I already mentioned above. Just sayin'!
