Facebook's new Instant Games is now here, meaning you can play games with your friends directly via Facebook. It's a fun new way to connect with friends, of course, but it's also proving to be a solid gaming experience in its own right, with a great collection of games right out of the gate. We've narrowed down the best of the bunch so you don't have to.

You can now play game's on Facebook Messenger - Here's how

Posted by Jessica Famularo on December 1st, 2016

Facebook launched its new Instant Games platform in an exciting new attempt to engage its user base. As a result, you can now play a number of different games directly through Facebook Messenger. All of these games run with HTML5, meaning you play them right within Messenger -- there’s no need to install separate apps. While none of the games are multiplayer, you can still send screenshots of the leaderboards to lure your friends into some friendly competition.

As fun as this may all sound, getting started isn’t super clear. Let’s walk through the process step by step.

How to send money to a friend with the Facebook app

Posted by Nick Tylwalk on June 29th, 2016

Facebook is already a lot of things to a lot of people. It's a social network, sure, but also a tool for catologing memories, chatting with friends, and much more.

What isn't as well known yet is that Facebook would like to become a player in the peer-to-peer payment space, meaning that it wants to leverage its already massive network of users and have them start sending money to each other through its app. The service has been available in the Messenger app for a while, but now it's possible to either send or receive money starting in the Facebook app itself (with some caveats, which we'll get to shortly).

Ravid May be the Most Convenient Video Messenger on iOS

Posted by Brad Hilderbrand on March 13th, 2012
iPhone App - Designed for iPhone, compatible with iPad

Sometimes when you want to send someone a message on your iPhone you want more than just text. You could call, but you really don't have time for that and a quick video message seems to be the perfect compromise. While there are plenty of options for creating video messages on iOS, none of them are as simple or elegant as Ravid.

Ravid allows users to quickly and easily record a video, then send it with one click. The service integrates seamlessly with your existing contacts list, and requires no additional sign-ins or special accounts necessary. Also, the messages created can be sent to anyone with a smartphone, so you aren't limited to only sending them to other Ravid users. So what we have here is a simple, free video messaging solution that requires no extra steps and works across all platforms. First off, why didn't this exist already? And second, why on earth would you not want to have it on your phone right now?
