Roodie Noodies and the Slippery Pole Review
Roodie Noodlies and the Slippery Pole is a fun, offbeat game with a fun beach theme that kids will enjoy.

Roodie Noodlies and the Slippery Pole is a delightfully quirky game that kids will enjoy, with versions available for both iPhone as well as iPad.
This oddball game takes place on “Belly Button Bay” where different Roodie Noodlie characters try their best to balance on a slippery pole that is sliding back and forth without losing their balance and falling into the water. This is even trickier because one must reach side-to-side, collecting “sparkly nurdles” out of the water, without losing one’s balance. This game includes four levels and increases in difficulty as the number of sparkly nurdles one needs to collect increases on each level.
I like the quirky details offered here, as a set of crabs is in charge of keeping the pole oiled and on the go. Friendly clams will cheer as each one of four characters takes their turn on the pole, each one goofy-looking, their common trait being big, outtie bellybuttons. When all four levels are complete, synchronized shrimp will preform a special swim performance and a very special prize, the ‘Sand Dollar Shield,” will be awarded. Upbeat music is played throughout and fun video clips are included, as is wallpaper that one can use or email a friend.
This game does not pretend to be educational although this game is great for dexterity in general as one needs to tilt the device side by side, keeping the character's balance, but also needing to get close enough to the water as to grab the sparkly nurdles. I found this game difficult at first, but the colorful characters and other fun and interesting details kept me coming back until I mastered this game. The fanfare created over the coveted Sand Dollar Shield was worth the time I needed to practice before finishing this game.
This would be a nice game for a child - grade school and up - who is looking for something a little offbeat and different. Parents will enjoy taking a turn at Roodie Noodle and the Slippery Pole as well.
