Rocat Jumpurr is an intense roguelite platformer where players use the recoil of a bazooka to move

Rocat Jumpurr is a roguelite platformer from developer Mousetrap Games. You might already be familiar with it if you follow the Big Indie Pitch, where it won first place during this year's Pocket Gamer Connects London competition. Following its success there it is now available for iOS and Android.

If you're a fan of both cats and explosions then Rocat Jumpurr has you covered. The aim of the game is to take our feline hero through various randomly generated levels. However, the only way he can move is to use the significant recoil from the rocket launcher he takes into battle.
That means alongside blowing enemies – which include evil cucumbers, pigeons and mice – to smithereens you'll also need to use it to destroy obstacles and jump over precarious gaps. Along the way, there will be various tokens you can collect that can upgrade equipment with different rocket types and so forth.
As you might expect given that this is a roguelite game, once you do eventually die you'll lose all your upgrades and have to start again. However, because of the randomly generated nature of Rocat Jumpurr each playthrough will provide an entirely new experience since you'll be blasting through different levels and being offered different upgrades throughout.
If Rocat Jumpurr sounds like it might be up your alley, you can download it for free now on both Google Play and the App Store as a free-to-play title.
