Road-Trip-Bingo Review

Road-Trip-Bingo is a great application for those who have enjoyed playing “Car Bingo” while traveling, now conveniently turned into an app for iPhone and iPod Touch.

Simple to use, the game consists of a bingo card themed with pictures of things you may find during a car ride, such as stop signs or different colored cars. Tap on a picture when an object is found; five in a row in any direction is a winner. When this is achieved, you are congratulated by a friendly character proclaiming “bingo.” Press “reset” and shake the device to start again. Pleasant music is included, which can also be easily turned off as well.

Most parents pack some sort of survival bag of goodies for road trips to keep their children occupied. For many families, a travel bingo game of some kind has always been a part of this bag of tricks, be it reusable plastic cards or paper bingo boards printed from the internet. This app makes it possible to pack one less thing and still be able to play bingo in the car over and over again. My son (2.5 years) is a little young for this now, but I look forward to introducing this to him in the future.

I think this is a great idea, especially for families who enjoy having their children play traditional games while taking advantage of the new technology.
