Risky Rescue Review

Risky Rescue is an exceptionally tough game that's all about flying choppers to save people. Patient gamers will enjoy what’s here, but those who don’t like to be occasionally frustrated might find themselves, well, frustrated.

Controls are a matter of holding or tapping fingers to the left or right of the screen. A combination of the two is frequently best, as you carefully juggle the chopper’s direction, avoiding the many obstacles in its way. Hitting anything cause your chopper to explode, so it’s tricky business. You have to carefully reach the trapped people before taking them all back to the helipad.

Did I mention it’s tricky? It really is. It’s also quite satisfying when you don’t screw up, and you can gradually unlock new choppers with extra benefits - including the all important armor. You’re going to need to have some patience to get that far though, and I wouldn’t blame those who lack it. Risky Rescue is well made but a bit of a niche title amongst more casual gaming fare.
