Everyone knows that exercising is important, but it’s just so hard to squeeze in the time to do it. Workout (7 Minute Body Fitness Exercise) aims to solve this problem.

Workout is a neat exercise app that only requires 7 minutes of time to complete. The app comes with simple exercises that only use body weight, a wall or a chair to complete. Users shouldn't be fooled by the simplicity though because the exercises will make sweat beads form.

The interface is what I love the most about Workout. It’s clean, crisp and has a groovy retro feel to it. Users can jump right into exercising whenever the app is opened.

When Workout is started, users must pick either “Arnold” or “Kate” as their trainer. The app then asks if they wish to keep track of their progress on a calendar.

It's time to get moving. There is a 10 second countdown between each exercise, but this can be cancelled if users prefer to just keep going without transitioning. Every exercise lasts for 30 seconds. They can be scrolled through and skipped over at any time. For those who don’t feel like 7 minutes is enough, users can go in and turn the heat up by repeating the routine or increasing the exercise time to 14, 21 or 28.

Music plays in the background as users exercise, but it’s wise to just turn it off as I found that it doesn’t really sync well with the exercises. Unfortunately, there is currently no way to play or control iPod music directly within the app.

The menu is located in the upper left corner. Users can repeat workouts and turn the music, shuffle, voice-over and voice on or off at any time. Furthermore, the exercise calendar is located in the upper right corner of the main screen.

There’s little to complain about when finding flaws in this fun fitness app. While it would be nice to have video tutorials to explain the exercises and a way to control and shuffle iPod music, these features aren’t absolutely necessary for users to get in great shape.

I enjoyed the simplicity that this app offers. Workout is perfect for anyone looking to squeeze in extra fitness time, which makes it easily recommendable for anyone looking to add another app to their collection to help vary their workout routine.
