Want a heads-up when the weather goes in the right direction for a particular activity? Weather Alarm has one covered. It's a weather app that's keen to monitor what's going on, letting its users know exactly when the conditions are how they want them to be. It's a little pricey, but it'll certainly be convenient for weather fans.
The app at its most basic will tell all to do with the weather. A splash screen demonstrates the current conditions, temperature, "feels like" temperature, wind speed, uv index, and humidity rating. What's most interesting is the dial on the lower half of the screen. This enables one to set an alarm so that users are given a heads up when a certain condition is on the way, such as sun, cloud, rain, snow, storm, fog, or sleet.
Alongside that, it's also possible to be told when a certain temperature or rain risk occurs. It's easily set up and quite convenient. Elsewhere, it's possible to get a heads up on the weather conditions hour by hour, as well as day by day, all thanks to a swipe to the side of the screen. It's simply done but does the job just fine. Notifications come up at the right times, while it's easy to browse through different locations and times. $2.99 pays for the app as well as up to three locations, while a further in-app purchase of $1.99 allows one to follow up to five locations. That makes it a bit expensive for what it offers but its mileage is going to depend on the user's needs. For many three locations will be fine, making Weather Alarm not quite so expensive.
Sure it's a tool that could be circumvented through regularly checking the weather manually, but for the convenience factor, Weather Alarm is quite handy for those where weather conditions are important.
