Returning to a more comfortable time of mobile puzzle gaming where gaining three stars at the end of a stage was the height of success, TripTrap isn't revolutionary but it is a fun title to dip into.
It's a simple to learn mechanic but one that works well throughout the game. Early on it's often just a matter of negotiating the shelves and nothing more, but soon enough obstacles such as spike pits and flying spikes get in the way. Fast reactions soon become as important as route planning. A button opens up allowing Ched to speed up a bit, often proving handy when timing things right.
While TripTrap doesn't reinvent the wheel exactly, it's still a fun puzzle game. Offering the enjoyable combination of cute graphics, easy to learn controls, and just enough challenge to be satisfying, it's a fun way to spend some spare time.
