It's a little overly-encouraging when it comes to in-app purchases, but that doesn't stop Touch Racing 2 from being a pretty fun casual racing game. Working your way up from a basic vehicle to a pretty smooth ride is fun and varied here.
Controls are fairly original for the genre as besides having a virtual wheel to control, there are also touch and drag controls. Using your two thumbs, you can manipulate the car in a way that becomes quite intuitive and more enjoyable than the usual virtual d-pad way of doing things.
The problem here is that Touch Racing 2 offers an energy system to slow you down, so you only get a few limited races each session. There are wait timers for upgrades too, which can grate after a time.
Still, have a little patience and Touch Racing 2 is a blast to play. Its single-player campaign is backed up by a multiplayer mode in which you take turns to race each other, ensuring there's always something to do. It's really quite entertaining.
