Todoly Reminders is a back to basics To-Do list app. It doesn’t bother with complicated features that few actually use often, instead focusing on a clear interface for you to add what needs doing.
A simple matter of hitting the plus sign, you can get to work, creating lists which can then have individual tasks added to them. Todoly Reminders uses a clearly laid out interface with a focus on block colors so that you can see everything easily. Colors can be assigned depending on your needs, with more colors available via an in-app purchase of $0.99.
You can add notes to each task too, detailing things further at the tap of the screen. Swipes help you edit and delete things too, proving quite intuitive. A simple tap on a task sends it to the completed folder, enabling you to look back at what you’ve accomplished, at a later point.
It’s all very quick and easy to implement, with the only big decision being which of the eight free colors to choose for your category. The $0.99 in-app purchase unlocks over 100 colors, as well as the ability to rearrange lists, so there’s no shortage of options there. The problem is that you’re going to end up wanting a little more from Todoly Reminders.
It promises things such as a time-based notification and iCloud support, as well as a widget, but for nowTodoly Reminders isn’t quite there. It doesn't even offer a way to add dates or deadlines to what needs doing. It’s certainly useful as a simple To-Do list app, and what it lacks in features it makes up for with speed, but it’s a double-edged sword right now. This feels like the kind of app to keep an eye on, and wait for things to develop further. It certainly has potential, at least.
