While the point of the game is to fly around, beat up bad guys and score lots of points, Sky Defenders is more about how the user experiences the gameplay in that it has the user look down at the screen to play. At first it's kind of awkward since most are used to holding their screen out in front for most games. However, this game makes the player hold the device out flat and parallel to the floor. It's no problem at all and actually provides a pretty cool gaming experience.
This type of top-down gaming means that moves have to be precise since it's super sensitive to the accelerometer. If the device is tilted too much the superhero almost always jerks to one side or the other and flies into a bad guy. A little bit of practice will have players flying circles around enemies in no time.
Sky Defenders' motion controls will have most gamers loving the ability to really challenge themselves with learning precision movements. The good news is that tilting isn't all that the game has going for it as its superhero firepower and relentless enemies make for an explosive combo.
