For notes and reminders devotees, Say&Go is one of the latest and greatest self-help productivity apps out there. This is a no-frills affair, but the highlighted features are gems: speedy access to the recorder, effortless upload to Dropbox, and customizable quick reminders. As a bonus, easy access means safe driving. Keep those eyes on the road and hands off the phone!
What makes this app special? By default, the app is set to record as soon as it's opened. One touch and it's off to the races. Extremely convenient for those commuters who do serious planning and brainstorming on the road, for example. No fumbling for notes or reminders and, heaven forbid, trying to type with the keyboard or hit the little microphone. Instead, just tap the Say&Go app icon and start speaking. Click Stop and Save if finished early, swipe to upload to Dropbox, swipe to turn on the quick reminder, or just do nothing and revisit the recording later. Easy as pie. Need to add to that last-minute grocery list for the hubby? No sweat. Need to jot down that perfect ad pitch for the boss? Done deal. Even send it at the next red light via text message or email.
We all like a little app personalization, and Say&Go's settings can be customized within certain parameters. Recording length can be set from a range of 4 seconds to 10 seconds. A simple swipe while recording will add extra time (one more round). Quick reminders can be arranged to automatically send anywhere from 5 minutes to 60 minutes after the recording is finished. The Dropbox function can be scheduled to auto-upload each completed recording. And finally, the default autostart can be turned off. That's the whole enchilada.Again, nothing fancy, but it sure gets the job done. No issues with functionality at all and it works seamlessly with the Dropbox app. The only snag I see to this app catching on might be the $1.99 price tag. But after a week with it, I’m a happy camper!
