Ruby Run: Eye God's Revenge Review

Ruby Run: Eye God’s Revenge is an immensely simple endless runner, which is both its appeal and its undoing. There’s also the awkward fact that this is more about not dying than it is about progressing.

You play a typical moustached hero with the attitude of all the 1980s action heroes you can think of. Your mission? Survive, while also picking up some gems along the way. Only two buttons matter. A tap on one side of the screen causes you to jump, while a tap on the opposite side allows you to shoot. Ruby Run: Eye God’s Revenge is all about knowing when to shoot at something and when to just jump over it. Oh, and there’s a huge monster with laser beams coming out of its eyes, chasing after you.

It’s easy enough to be drawn into Ruby Run: Eye God’s Revenge initially. Collect enough gems and you can buy a new gun, giving you some extra firepower. Gems are also dished out though watching videos or daily bonuses, as well as via in-app purchases if you so wish.

Ruby Run: Eye God’s Revenge doesn’t get much deeper than that though, so it soon turns rather repetitive. This isn’t really an endless runner that will last you very long. It’s a passing attraction as you move onto bigger things.

Ruby Run: Eye God's Revenge

It's a cool name, but Ruby Run is a little too simple to entice.
