It’s not the kind of game you’ll be raving about for months to come, but as a passing distraction you could do a lot worse than Ninjump Dash. It’s a real-time multiplayer racing game that has you leaping from platform to platform in a way that only ninjas can achieve.
Such power-ups give an almost Mario Kart style feel to things, with speed boosts as well as plenty of projectiles to fling at your opponents. They can make all the difference when it comes to grabbing the lead. The most infuriating of these being a box that massively slows you down, or a rocket that homes in on the person in front. Each game only takes around a minute to complete, so you can see results pretty quickly.
Ninjump Dash will eventually become a bit samey, with levels seeming a little too much like the last one you tried, but early on it’s fairly entertaining. Its true strength is in teaming up with friends rather than being pitted against random strangers, and that’s where you’ll find yourself most enthralled. At least for a little while.
