One of the great mysteries of the iPad is why on earth there isn't an official Facebook app out there when the iPhone has one. Still, while apps like MyPad+ exist, there's not really any need to worry about an official one. MyPad+ makes for a great Facebook experience, one that I actually found more satisfying than using the Facebook website.
Photo Galleries look particularly impressive, revitalising galleries of old and forming a great way of showing off photos to friends and family from the iPad. Uploading images is easy enough too although there's currently no way of tagging friends while doing so.
There's also an interactive video player that loads quickly in its own column. The Events Calender also ensures that it's quick and simple to consult much like a diary. Chat is also pretty inspired, never feeling like a poorer cousin of the website. The only irritant for anti social souls such as myself is that there doesn't appear to be any way of logging out of chat. It instead leaves the user logs in so even if they switch to the browser version, it's still open.
Despite this, MyPad+ is near flawless. It simply works perfectly and makes for a very attractive interface. Even the font and font size has clearly been chosen deliberately to ensure that it is easy to read on the iPad screen. Facebook fans have a new favorite app to use.
