Melody Kitty Review
Melody Kitty is a cute interactive storybook for iPad which includes a nice song as well.

Melody Kitty is a cute interactive storybook app for iPad about a kitty who likes to daydream, as well as help others. Options include having this story be read out loud, or reading it by oneself, as well as playing Melody Kitty’s "Favorite Song," which is also featured in the story.
My son and I enjoy this story about Melody Kitty, as she enjoys daydreaming about what it would be like to be other things such as an airplane, boat or a train, but these daydreams get interrupted by animals in need of Kitty’s help. Later, Kitty is greeted by these animals, and she is reminded that if she really was something other than herself, she would not have been around to help her new friends.
The illustrations are cartoony and cute with a simple, hand-drawn quality, but this story seems a little long. My son (2.5+ years), however, had no problem paying attention and enjoys finding the hidden interactions, especially the ones which help the animals interact directly with each other. He also likes tapping Kitty’s daydreams, listening to the noises and enjoying the creative illustrations of Kitty's thoughts, such as Kitty as half cat, half airplane. I do wish these sound effects could have a volume control, though, because they can be loud and tend to drown out the narration. All in all, we enjoy Melody Kitty as well as her favorite song, which is upbeat and fun to listen to.
