| Hit Tennis

Hit Tennis is a rather simple tennis game where you swipe your finger to swing the racquet. A timing game, really, time the swipes to hit the ball at the right time to get it to go in the correct direction. The real fun in this games comes when you play with two people.

The graphics, while implementing some pretty good 3D, are rather simple and could use a little sprucing up. But that doesn't really detract from the game play. The game play is rather good. Smooth graphics and good framerates help with a game like this where timing is important.

The controls are simplified by the fact that your player moves automatically -- the only thing you need to do is swipe at the right time. And that control is, surprisingly, more fine grained than you would expect. The exact time that you swing matters a great deal as it determines the direction the ball will travel.

I believe this is the only tennis game that allows two people to play at the same time. This is accomplished using a split screen where one player is at each side of the screen. This mode is the most fun as it provides some great competition.

yt

Hit Tennis is a simple, but fun tennis game. My real concern is that it is currently may not be priced competitively to the other Tennis games in the App Store. Seems like a more natural $0.99 game.

Hit Tennis

Hit Tennis is a fun 1-2 player 3D tennis game. The controls are well done, fine grained, and the graphics very smooth. The real fun in the game is playing with 2 players on a split-screen.
