Who wants to get their iPhone out to check the weather forecast, really? It’s a pointless second or two of your life and really quite utterly tedious.
That’s the thinking behind Dark Sky now offering an Apple Watch app: keep your bluetooth connection active and you can check out all the important details from your wrist. Tapping on the app takes you to a quick overview of the current temperature, a breakdown of what to expect every few hours, and displays visibility, wind speed, and even dew point. A heads-up on when the sun will rise and set is also provided.
All of that is included for the next five days of the weather forecast, meaning you can easily see what’s up ahead. And that’s kind of the point of Dark Sky on the Apple Watch; it’s a time saver. Where the iPhone’s notification widget saved a little time, this app saves you even more. While you’ll have to dive into the iPhone app for the full details and pretty graphics, Dark Sky on the Apple Watch gives you the information you'll probably want most frequently.
