Having to convert between units is an integral part of most people's daily lives, whether it is converting dollars to Euros at work, or converting centimetres to inches, it’s definitely a task that most of come across on a fairly regular basis. Normally, to convert between units (when the trusty help of Google isn't available) difficult and frustrating math sums are involved - but not anymore. Enter Convertible, and when I say that this app can convert anything, I really mean anything!

When the user first launches Convertible two things will be apparent to them; the developer obviously puts an emphasis on a usable design and the amount of units able to be converted is stunning. Don't believe me? How about this - 10kJ (kilojoules) of energy is equivalent to 0.00001961 Barrels of oil. This may sound unbelievable, but after playing around with the app for a while, it has actually begun to act more as a fact book than a unit conversion app.

But of course, for an app that converts so many units, it’s important that they're accessible through a quick and clean interface - which is exactly what Convertible has. With customizable themes, amazing readability and an intuitive and easy to use interface, Convertible is definitely in a class of its own.

Although not necessarily a bad thing, some users may find that the amount of units to convert quite overwhelming. There is also a huge emphasis on sliding to switch between units within the app, which some users may find hard to use when they want to pinpoint a specific unit.

As it stands, Convertible comes with five in-built themes (including the default one). All of these themes are beautiful to look at, and very easy on the eye. As I said above, some stat-lovers (myself included) may actually find themselves begin to have fun with this app thanks to the sheet outlandishness of some of the things available to compare - such as how 1 pixel on a 50" HDTV is equal to 0.00004163 Hershey bars.

I can safely say without a shadow of a doubt that Convertible has become my go-to unit conversion app. With its slick UI and an outrageous amount of units to convert, it definitely adds a whole new spin to unit conversion apps!
